Drug costs up, but trend is down

Per-member, per-year average wholesale prices for prescription drugs were up in 2000 — but not quite so dramatically as in 1999, according to Express Scripts, the pharmacy benefit manager. This figure is based on claims for a representative cross-section of the PBM's own commercial clients.
