Latinos more likely to be uninsured, says study

Latinos are much more likely to report being uninsured than whites or blacks, according to a new study by the Kaiser Family Foundation. Seventy-three percent of Latinos who were surveyed are uninsured or know someone who is uninsured, compared to 63 percent for whites and 64 percent for blacks.

Nearly 3,000 Latinos responded to a 100-question questionnaire. The foundation says that it was "the largest and most comprehensive national survey of the Hispanic population taken in a very long time – perhaps ever."
