Medicare fee-for-service providers are being encouraged to participate in the fifth annual health care provider satisfaction survey of Medicare fee-for-service contractors. The Medicare Contractor Provider Satisfaction Survey (MCPSS) is an opportunity for providers to offer feedback to CMS on their satisfaction, attitudes, perceptions, and opinions about the services rendered by their respective contractor.
Survey questions focus on seven business functions of the provider-contractor relationship: provider inquiries, provider outreach and education, claim processing, appeals, provider enrollment, medical review, and provider audit and payment.
CMS expects to recruit 30,000 randomly selected providers, including physicians and other health care practitioners, suppliers, and institutional facilities that serve Medicare beneficiaries. Providers can complete and submit the survey on the Internet via a secure Web site. Responses will also be accepted via mail, fax, or over the telephone.
