New Trade Group For DM Industry Has Bold Goals


The disease management industry has a new trade association. The Disease Management Association of America, whose board representation includes health plans, hospitals, and disease management vendors, is discussing such goals as developing standards for reporting outcomes and perhaps even accreditation of disease management programs.

Al Lewis, executive director of the Disease Management Purchasing Consortium, is the new trade organization's president.
