AHIP, National Consumers League Unveil Tool to Help Consumers Choose Wisely

Citing a recent analysis that says that 42% of adults don’t understand their health care choices, the leading lobbying organization for health insurance plans teamed with a consumer advocacy group to create a tool that might cut through the confusion, according to Morning Consult. AHIP and the National Consumers League launched MyHealthPlan.guide on Tuesday.

The tool helps consumers choose and correctly use their plan, and offers lifestyle advice as well. It will be available when open enrollment begins on November 1. AHIP President and CEO Marilyn Tavenner said in a statement that “we want to help inform, educate, and engage consumers to make sure they have the information and tools at their fingertips to make the best decisions about their healthcare.”
