One of the effects of managed care is greater responsibility for all participants in the health care industry — not just physicians. Hospital & Healthcare Compensation Service recently surveyed 195,410 employees of 381 hospitals in the nation to measure salary trends for nurse practitioners and physicians assistants for its Hospital Salary & Benefits Report.
