Many serious diseases which may be screened for at birth aren't contained in regular newborn genetic evaluations. Total genome sequencing of teens to get present and possible ailments have become technologically possible and may soon be economically viable. Researchers are researching whether the consequent flood of genetic information will help physicians and parents care for teenagers — or include unnecessary stress, sophistication and price.
